MINUTES OF CASCADE CHARTER TOWNSHIP
REGULAR BOARD MEETING
Wednesday, July 25, 2007
7:00 P.M.

Article 1. Supervisor Julien called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Present: Supervisor Julien, Trustees Beahan, Koessel, Fox, Goldberg and Clerk Goodyke.
Absent: Treasurer Carpenter
Also Present: Those listed in Supplement #1.

Article 2. Supervisor Julien led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Article 3. The Agenda was revised to include the following:
" Article 4. d. - Education Requests - Denise M. Biegalle - re: SPHR/PHR Certification Study Course -Davenport College - 9/11/07 thru 11/13/07 - 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
The Agenda was approved with the above stated revision on a motion by Clerk Goodyke and supported by Trustee Fox. Motion carried.

Article 4. Approval of Consent Agenda
a. Approval of Township Board Minutes
1. Regular Board Meeting Minutes for 7/11/07.
b. Receive and File Various Meeting Minutes
1. Board of County Road Commission Meeting Minutes for 6/26/07.
c. Receive and File Various Reports
1. Fire Department Month End Report for June, 2007.
d. Education Requests
1. Denise M. Biegalle - re: SPHR/PHR Certification Study Course - Davenport College - 9/11/07 thru 11/13/07 - 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Motion to approve the Consent Agenda was made by Trustee Beahan and supported by Trustee Koessel. Motion carried.

Article 5. Financial Actions
a. Consider Approval of June 2007 General/Special Funds.
Motion to approve the June 2007 General/Special Funds was made by Trustee Koessel and supported by Trustee Beahan. Motion carried.
b. Consider Approval of June 2007 Public Utility Funds.
Motion to approve the June 2007 Public Utility Funds was made by Clerk Goodyke and supported by Trustee Fox. Motion carried.

Article 9. New Business
050-2007 Consider Approval of a Resolution to Designate September 21, 2007 as Prisoner of War-Missing in Action Recognition Day.
Motion was made by Clerk Goodyke and supported by Trustee Fox to approve a Resolution to Designate September 21, 2007 as Prisoner of War-Missing in Action Recognition Day. Motion carried.

051-2007 Consider Approval of the use of the Wisner Center once a month by Michigan Community Blood Centers.
Motion was made by Trustee Fox and supported by Trustee Koessel to approve the use of the Wisner Center once a month by Michigan Community Blood Centers. Motion carried.

052-2007 Discuss Progress on 2007 Township Board Goals.
Supervisor Julien opened the floor for discussion of the 2007 Board Goals. Each Goal was discussed and progress was evaluated. Various Board members agreed to take assignments to work on specific areas.

Article 10. Manager's Comments
Interim Manager Beahan offered the following:
" 28th and Kraft to be resurfaced beginning this week.
" Road work scheduled for Patterson from 36th to 28th Streets has been moved back to August 7 or 8
" Lt. Bill Weston has put the speed reader board on Buttrick and is doing extra speed control along Buttrick.
" Grand Rapids is aware of the water pressure concerns in the Jonathon Woods area and will perhaps have to enforce some controls on sprinkling.

Article 12. Adjournment
Motion was made by Trustee Goldberg and supported by Trustee Fox to adjourn. Motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
