2011 Board Goals

1. Begin a strategic planning process to develop a multi-year plan for Cascade Charter Township.  Request proposals for the strategic planning process from qualified consultants that will result in an initial plan being developed prior to the adoption of the 2012 Budget.

2. Re-examine all budgeted line item expenses and look for further opportunities to reduce them while continuing to provide our Township residents with essential services in a fair and efficient manner.

3.  Continue to explore the options to create a sustainable farmers’ market in the Township.

4. Pursue opportunities with neighboring municipalities to partner with them in providing our residents with all services at a high level, while doing so in a more cost efficient manner.

5. Conduct an aggressive economic development campaign for the township.

6. Complete the hiking trail system in the Burton Park and host a formal dedication of the park for the public.

 7. Pursue additional recycling opportunities for Cascade residents including hazardous waste recycling while continuing to promote existing programs.
